Today: 1) Daily Horoscopes
2) What is a self-fulfilling prophecy?
3) Class will read Act 1, Scenes 1 and 2 of Macbeth out loud, discussing how the witches are used to foreshadow future events in the play.
4) In groups, students will read Act 1, Scene 3, focusing on the witches’ fortune for Macbeth and the influence it has on his decisions.
5) Students will complete a VENN diagram comparing/contrasting Macbeth and Banquo’s reactions to the witches.
Homework: Edit/revise your “Philadelphia Tales.” Final copy due TUESDAY, October 11. Study for Unit Test on “Beowulf” and “The Canterbury Tales” to be given on WEDNESDAY October 12.
