Do-Now: Macbeth plans on returning to the witches in order to learn more about his future. Based on what has happened as a result of the witches’ first prediction, do you believe this is a good idea? What might the witches tell Macbeth? How might knowing more about his future influence him? What might this knowledge cause him to do?
Today: 1) Complete Grammar Link on Pg. 1078.
2) Complete questions 8, 9, and 12 on pg. 489.
3) Class will begin reading Act 4, Scene 1, focusing on the witches newest predictions for the class. Students will fill out a chart recording each of the three apparitions given to Macbeth. They will then describe Macbeth’s response to each apparition, followed by a prediction of what they feel Macbeth might do based on the knowledge from each apparition.
